It’s that time of year again, when all the aquatic medicine folk get together to
share all the cool, new things they’ve learned and discovered. IAAAM (the International Association of Aquatic Animal Medicine) is made up of individuals all about aquatic animal medicine (like me!). Be it research, teaching, or husbandry, if you have something to do with aquatic animal medicine, this is your crew.
This year, conveniently the conference is being held right in my northern territory at Fort Baker’s Cavallo Point Lodge in Sausalito, CA. This conference is a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and colleagues while getting a chance to meet new people all interested in aquatic animal medicine. This will be my second time attending this conference, and I can’t wait for all the great talks and posters that will be presented over this week.
Hopefully, in next week’s article, I can share some of the great stuff I learn this week. Happy Monday!
