Welcome to Wet Vet Weekend 2023! We are pleased to present our combined Pet Fish and Aquaculture program, encompassing 3-days of fish-tastic full-immersion learning.

We have the distinct honor to be joined by three outstanding aquatic veterinarians:
Dr. Myron Kebus - Aquaculture Outreach Veterinarian, Michigan State University
Dr. Jessie Sanders - Owner/Chief Veterinarian, Aquatic Veterinary Services
Dr. Esteban Soto - Associate Professor, University of California, Davis

We are offering three pricing options:

  • Pet Fish - Friday & Saturday: $350 (15 CE credits)
  • Aquaculture - Saturday & Sunday: $350 (15 CE credits)
  • All Fish - Friday, Saturday & Sunday: $500 (22.5 CE credits)

Hotel accommodations are available at the Fairfield Inn San Jose Airport. See below for more information. A free airport shuttle is available to Norman Y Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC). Meals are not included, but many low cost options are available in immediate area. All lab supplies are included, including transport to public pond for pet fish handling and diagnostic lab.

8:45 AM – 9:30 AM: Sedation, Anesthesia & Euthanasia of Pet Fish

11:30 PM – 2:30 PM:  LAB – Fish Physical Exam & Diagnostics (live fish)
2:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Transport to Hotel

1:00 PM – 4:30 PM: LAB – Fish Necropsy Lab (dead fish)

Scholarship Information

We are thrilled to offer two $500 veterinary student scholarships to our Wet Vet Weekend. You must be a student or 2023 graduate of an AVMA accredited veterinary school. You may apply the $500 to the cost of the 3-day program or $350 to either the Pet Fish 2-day program or Aquaculture 2-day program and have the additional $150 go towards your travel or meal fees. Please email vet@cafishvet.com with a cover letter expressing your interest in fish medicine and your resume.

We are also offering a full scholarship to a California Bay Area veterinarian, living within 2 hours of San Jose, CA, currently in practice, to attend our 2-day Pet Fish program. This scholarship does not cover any travel or meals. Please email vet@cafishvet.com with a cover letter expressing your interest in pet fish medicine and your resume.

Cancellation Policy

- 100% refund if cancellation made before June 1st 12:00am PST.
- 50% refund if cancellation made before June 14th 12:00am PST.
- 25% refund will be made after June 14th 12:01am PST until class date.
