What is included in one of your “pond packages?”
All of our pond packages include water quality testing and fish physicals under sedation. Our standard package includes up to three fish under sedation and our new platinum package will check up to ten fish, all of your choosing.
Do you offer in-house appointments?
At this time, we do not offer in-house appointments. Given the sensitive nature of many fish species, capture and transport can be a very stressful process, making disease processes worse. Our mobile service is 100% equipped to easily capture and handle fish. We frequently use sedation to decrease the amount of stress your fish undergo during our exam.
What training does a fish veterinarian receive?
Depending on which veterinary school your veterinarian attends will significantly vary in their didactic training. Most veterinarians will take additional training to hone their aquatic skills. Learn more about how to get started in aquatic veterinary medicine.
